650,000 tonnes of ghost gear is found in our oceans annually, with road cones being one of the many things often found on the seabed. There are serious effects of human activities on our marine environment. And we don’t have to look too far. The beautiful beaches and pristine beaches in New Zealand are hiding an ugly truth, with litter and plastic debris everywhere. And it is taking efforts from voluntary organisations to clean up this mess.
