It has been more than four months since TWR Media took over Fishing & Outdoors, and with five issues (including the December 2019 one) published, it is great to see our production team on the receiving end of all the great feedback from readers and advertisers.

We achieved a small milestone last month by increasing ad revenue to allow for additional pages to be printed, so the demand has been positive and the future looks promising.

One of our original goals with Fishing & Outdoors, other than changing the layout and going to a more editorially-balanced approach to content from the previous life of the publication, was to produce the newspaper on a more frequent basis, our reasoning being, the content becomes more timely and, therefore, relevant.

Keeping that in mind, we have decided to turn Fishing & Outdoors into a four-weekly publication, so instead of a new issue out every month, we will print one every four weeks. This would mean that you, our readers, would get access to content more frequently (13 issues in a calendar year) and for our advertisers, this means your business or service will be across a relevant group of buyers more often. With this move, we hope to benefit both.

Our intention is to continue adding more pages and increasing the frequency of the publication, but it is still baby steps, although, it feels like those steps are getting exponentially larger each month.

On a side note, we introduced our new-look website a couple of months ago. If you have not checked it out already, head to fishingoutdoors.co.nz. Our editorial team has been busy sharing the latest news and stories from fishing, boating, and hunting communities in an easy-to-read format.
